One day while jogging I started to feel pain on the side of my knee. I tried running through the pain but this didn't help. The next day I also felt pain under my knee, and I couldn't go up stairs without feeling immense pain. I gave my knee a couple of months of rest and every new attempt at jogging would result in pain within minutes. I thougth I would be bound to walking the rest of my life. I started to do some research and found that I was experiencing symptoms of Patellar Tendonitis and ITBS.
At first I attempted various exercises to strengthen my knee, but the second I upgraded from walking to jogging the pain would come back. Looking for more solutions, I found out about the PattStrap.
I was a bit skeptical that a strap would help me return to running, but let me tell you, this thing works! I used one strap below the knee and one above the knee just like this site instructed, since I was feeling both kinds of pain. After proper stretching like I always do, I started walking for about a mile and then slowly eased into jogging. I kept waiting for the pain, but it never came! It felt as if I had a brand new knee and nothing in the world could stop me. I kept telling my running partner, "This is awesome!"
I just purchased my second pair to prevent problems with my "good" knee. I am truly thankful for this product because it has allowed me to return to my favorite exercise. Anyone who has been sidelined with this problem knows how frustrating it can be. Believe me, you will feel relieved when you try these. To those who felt these straps didn't help, there are so many variables that can go wrong, such as not applying them properly, not warming up, trying to run too much right away, etc. All I can suggest is if you take caution and do everything properly, you will see results.
