I have run consistently for over a year. I have experienced ITBS a few times before and this is the most frustrating injury ever. Before, I had to wait severla months before I could even run for 10 minutes....and then BANG! The pain again! You know the feeling, it hurts qui bad and on top of it you have to come back home walking!
At the end of the summer I did the Montréal half marathon, it went very well except for one thing: about two kilometers before the end I recognized that pain in my right knee. Adrenalin kept me going, I had a goal of doing it under 1:40....and I did! But the pain was there. Going up and, especially, down the stairs was a painful experience for a few days. I got angry because I though that pain was never to come back again. Of course I was wrong.
You see, because running keeps me sane and bring peace in my life, there is no way I am going to stop for 3, 6 or even 9 months. I was ready to consider surgery. I surfed the net, looking for an answer or a treatment. I went to a site that refered back to this website. I decided to buy the strap and give it a try....but I was quite sceptical. I am a scientist and I am always sceptical, especially of something that promises to IMMEDIATELY relieve the pain from ITBS.
I received my straps quickly and gave them a try. I first ran for 10 minutes, slowly....no pain. Three days after I ran on and off for 22 minutes (stretching my band every 10 minutes). Today I decided to really try it. I ran 7.5 km at a slower pace that I usually do and I stretched my band every 10 minutes again! NO PAIN! The strap stays there.
I still will take it slowly, I will not overdo it. I plan to run for years to come and its a real relief to know that the PattStrap is there.
For me, it really does work!
Thanks you so much for fast (and free) delivery, and for an amazing product!
Sincerly,
Dominic Bergeron
