I was having pain in my leg near my knee while riding a bicycle when I'd get to a certain mileage (5 miles I think). I was able to increase my mileage to 10 miles by slowly increasing mileage over time, but once I stopped biking for awhile the pain came back. I went to physical therapy for ITB syndrome but once I stopped doing my regular exercises and stopped biking regularly if I started again the pain came back. I decided to try the pattstrap after a recurance because I'd read about it on a biking website - and the first day I tried it, I was able to ride twice as far without the pain. It was really helpful for me as an occassional biker, because I can now bike 10 miles without first having to ride 5, then 6, then 7 etc (you get the picture.) Also it was very reasonably priced, esp. compared to the doctors visits and physical therapy.
