While training for the OKC Memorial Marathon, after 18 miles on one Sunday and 19 miles the next Sunday, towards the end of the nineteen-miler, I was stopped in my tracks by what I later found out was ITBS. I did all the research I could on the internet and went to a physical therapist for rehab, stretching, and strengthening exercises. Ultimately, I purchased the PattStrap, thinking that what was ~$20.00 to relieve the pain. The rest, heat, ice, stretching, NSAIDs, and strengthening all helped with the ITBS, but using the PattStrap also seemed to help immensely, both throughout the day (I'm a pharmacist, 14 hours/day on my feet), and on the short runs when I got back to running after taking several weeks off for recovery. I would definitely recommend the PattStrap (in addition to the other measures) to alleviate the pain, burning, and tension associated with ITBS.
