I've been suffering from intense pain caused by my IT band since I last did a half marathon in 2003, I gave up running after that as could barely run 100yards up the road before the pain started. 4 years on I was able to run 3 miles at the most with my dog gradually increasing it up to 6 miles in September last year but then a new pair of trainers set me right back to square 1 again. Now with the strap I ran 8 miles last friday and am hoping to complete the Exeter Half Marathon in 4 weeks time in under 2 hours!
